Welcoming Mr. Jean Todt, UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Road Safety

President & CEO of ChamberINDIA Abhinav Balyan welcomed United Nations Secretary General's Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt and Resident Representative of UNFPA India, Andrea Wojnar, to a discussion on road safety.

Before assuming his current role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy in April 2015, Mr. Todt held the position of President at the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) from 2009 to 2021, the governing body for world motorsport and the federation of the world's motoring organizations. He made road safety a priority of the federation through the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign, launched in 2011 in support of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety. Mr. Todt's extensive experience also includes serving as the CEO and Special Advisor at Ferrari from 2004 to 2009.
