Visit of Prof. Ganesh Hingmire, Chairperson of Intellectual Property Rights Council

Chairperson of Chamber India’s IPR Council Prof. Ganesh Hingmire visited chamber secretariat and educated our team on the importance of Geographical Indicators and the role they play in preserving the heritage of India.

Prof. Hingmire is a winner of two consecutive National Intellectual Property Awards given by Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and has published over 200 articles in almost all major newspapers. He has attended six Ministerial Conferences of WTO and has published many papers on the WTO website.

Professor Hingmire, who studied under the streetlight and worked as a paanwala for 12 years, is now credited with registering more than 25% of all agricultural G.I. in India.
