Meeting with the Ambassador of Armenia H.E. Mr. Vahagn Afyan at the Embassy

President & CEO of Chamber India Mr. Abhinav Balyan had a meeting with the new Ambassador of Armenia H.E. Mr. Vahagn Afyan at the Embassy of Armenia.
Discussion were held on collaborating with the Armenian Chamber of Commerce, increasing agricultural exports, primarily rice, to Armenia and nearby regions, export of agri-machinery and enhancing the potential for tourism. Mr. Balyan assured all possible support to the Embassy and Armenian businesses seeking opportunities in India.
India and Armenia share friendly relations rooted in historical ties between the people of the two countries. The Protocol on establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Armenia was signed on 31 August 1992. The bilateral trade between India and Armenia stood at $134.1 million in 2022-23, with Indian exports and $61.3 million and Indian imports at $72.8 million.
