H.E. Alejandro Simancas Marin, Ambassador of Cuba at the Chamber India Secretariat

Creating synergies between India and the Caribbean, President Mr. Abhinav Balyan welcomed the Ambassador of Cuba H.E. Alejandro Simancas Marin to Chamber India's Secretariat to explore potential avenues of collaboration between India and Cuba.

The discussions were aimed at fostering a deeper understanding and stronger relationship between India and Cuba. Various sectors of mutual interest including pharmaceuticals, electric mobility, renewable energy and water management were explored during the meeting.

Chamber India sees Cuba as a partner in its mission of fostering a closer connect between India and the Global South as envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. We have planned a delegation to visit Havana under the Chamber India-Global South Connect initiative.

H.E. Alejandro Simancas Marin informed that the Minister of Foreign Trade of Cuba will be visiting India to enhance bilateral business ties.

Chamber India looks forward to hosting ministerial delegations and other delegations from Cuba in the coming months.
