On this joyous occasion, our President & CEO Mr. Abhinav Balyan greeted H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb, High Commissioner of Maldives.
India-Maldives bilateral trade crossed the USD 300 million mark for the first time in 2021, reaching an impressive USD 323.9 million. Trade registered a growth of over 31% over the previous year.
India has a pre-eminent position in the Maldives, with relations extending to virtually most areas. The importance of India’s strategic role in Maldives is well-recognized, with India being seen as a net security provider. ‘India First’ has been a stated policy of the Government of Maldives (GoM).
