Greeting Ambassador of Portugal on 50th anniversary of Carnation Revolution

Chamber India joins the people of Portugal in celebrating the 50th anniversary of Carnation Revolution.

President & CEO of Chamber India Mr. Abhinav Balyan greeted the Ambassador of Portugal H.E. Mr. João Ribeiro de Almeida on this occasion.

Relations between India and Portugal date back over 500 years when the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama led a sea-faring expedition to Calicut (Kozhikode) in Kerala in May 1498.

As per DGFT data, India-Portugal trade in FY 2021-22 amounted to US$1,356.34 million. Indian exports stood at US$1,191.80 million and Portuguese exports at US$164.54 million.
