Episode 1: Industry, Trade and Youth: Shaping the Next Phase of BRICS Cooperation
March 12, 2026
18th BRICS Summit under India’s Chairship coincides with a period of transition in global trade, technology, and workforce dynamics. As BRICS economies together account for a substantial share of the world’s young population, the role of industry and trade in enabling youth participation in economic growth, entrepreneurship and cross-border collaboration is increasingly significant.
In this context, Chamber India®, organised a virtual discussion series with the youth to reflect on how industry - and trade-led cooperation within BRICS can be shaped to respond to the aspirations, capabilities and leadership potential of youth.
Participants from BRICS countries:
Mr. Fernando Goulart from the Fluminense Federal University, Brazil.
Ms. Bakhmeteva Ekaterina from the Higher School of Economics (HSE) University, Russia.
Ms. Anugya Bharadwaj from the University of Delhi, India.
Ms. Buhle Mnyanda from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
