Episode 1: Industry, Trade and Youth: Shaping the Next Phase of BRICS Cooperation

March 12, 2026

18th BRICS Summit under India’s Chairship coincides with a period of transition in global trade, technology, and workforce dynamics. As BRICS economies together account for a substantial share of the world’s young population, the role of industry and trade in enabling youth participation in economic growth, entrepreneurship and cross-border collaboration is increasingly significant.

In this context, Chamber India®, organised a virtual discussion series with the youth to reflect on how industry - and trade-led cooperation within BRICS can be shaped to respond to the aspirations, capabilities and leadership potential of youth.

Participants from BRICS countries:

  • Mr. Fernando Goulart from the Fluminense Federal University, Brazil.

  • Ms. Bakhmeteva Ekaterina from the Higher School of Economics (HSE) University, Russia.

  • Ms. Anugya Bharadwaj from the University of Delhi, India.

  • Ms. Buhle Mnyanda from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
